Kelly Priest & AssociatesJNK Assessments/Brain Matters, and Anna Major, LMFT, have created a seven-point emotional first aid kit on wildfire recovery for our Los Angeles area families and community. Whether your family has suffered the loss of your home, has been evacuated or displaced, has had a school interruption, or is coping more broadly with being part of a hard-hit community, these seven guideposts are intended to help you support your children through these early days of crisis and immediate post-crisis.

Each page of the guide is divided into three sections:  Do More of This, because you need soft targets to aim for right now,  Do Less of This, because we are realistic about the demands of parenting in this extraordinary moment of crisis, and  Adapt It Like This, because many of you have neurodivergent children and teens who may require more tailored approaches.

Please feel free to share, print, redistribute, and use as needed. Each page is here as an image, and the entire documents as a PDF.
